UHMW-PE introduction

Ultra-high Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) is a linear polyethylene with a much higher molecular weight than standard PE, which offers outstanding performance as below:

1)abrasion resistance:

   4 times higher than Nylon66 and PTFE, 6 times than stainless steel, the best of the plastic.

2)superior impact resistance:

   2 times than Polycarbonate,5 times than ABS and can keep toughness very well even under liquid-nitrogen      temperature (-196℃)

3)self-lubricating property:

   same as PTFE,friction coefficient is 0.07-0.11, 1/3-1/4 of steel.

4)impact energy absorption value is the highest in plastic and noise reduction is best.

5)excellent mechanical characteristics

  anti-corrosive medium and organic medium.

6)non-sticking property: close to PTFE.

7)Non-poisonous property

   widely used in food and medicine industry..

8)Low density

   the smallest in plastic, 56% lower than PTFE,22% lower than Polycarbonate; 1/8 of steel etc.

UHMWPE Wear resistant strips are used to support and guide roller chains, product and conveyor belts. They are designed to prevent chain or belt movement and reduce vibration which can increase bearing and motor loads. They are generally manufactured from UHMW plastic which provides a high wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. We can also work with other materials. We offer a wide range of standard extruded profiles as well as machined profiles. We can also manufacture bespoke profiles to suit your exact requirements. Wear bends can also be supplied commonly used to guide conveyor belts around corners.
