UHMW-PE for engineering machinery is often referred to as the world’s toughest polymer. UHMW-PE is a linear high density polyethylene which has high abrasion resistance as well as high impact strength. UHMW PE is also chemical resistant and has a low coefficient of friction which make it highly effective in a variety of applications.

Machined parts made by UHMW (aka UHMW-PE) offers a combination of excellent properties including outstanding abrasion resistance, superior impact resistance, non-sticking and self-lubricating properties and excellent mechanical properties, even in cryogenic conditions. UHMW product reduces noise from impact & vibration. It is a self-lubricating material that is chemical, corrosion, and wear-resistant. And it is food safe.

The weight is light, the weight is 1/8 of the rolled steel. Life is higher than steel. The wear resistance is 3 to 7 times of carbon steel and stainless steel. With these properities UHMW wear strip has been the best part and material to be applied to a variety of industries including even food and beverage industries.

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) is a resin based product having molecular weight greater than 4million gm. /mol. It is important that we do not confuse UHMWPE with High-Density Polymer (HDPE) Because HDPE does not exhibit superior wear characteristics as UHMWPE due to its lower molecular weight. As the molecular weight of polyethylene increases, its abrasion resistance and non-stick characteristics are enhanced. These liners are extensively used all over the world as ideal flow promotion liners.
