UHMWPE/HDPE is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic.It is highly resistant to corrosive chemicalsexcept oxidizing acids;has extremely low moisture absorption, low temperature resistant, and a very low coefficient of friction; is selflubricating; and is highly resistant to abrasion, in some forms being 15 times more resistant to abrasion than carbon steel. This kind of material is approved by FDA and NSF. It's a good option to making cutting boards.
